Last year the WTM had over 50,000 people in attendance from all over the globe and this year the numbers look to be just as impressive.
African countries appeared vibrant and enthusiastic, they could not wait to sell the richness of their country's culture and friendliness of the people. African Countries represented were - Nigeria, Ethiopia, Egypt, Gambia, Morocco, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Ghana and many more..

Gambia was represented by the 'new' Honourable Minister of Tourism and Culture 'Benjamin A. Roberts' and the director of Marketing 'Adama Njie.Mr Roberts assured us that talks are already underway for the Gambia Roots Festival 2016, which will be newly structured, planned well in advance and be a bigger and better event than ever before.
Those who attended The Gambia Roots Festival 2014 would join me in testifying that it was an unbelievable event, well organised, full of culture, excitement and networking with people from all over the world.
